Rest days are nearly as important as training days. Allowing the body to rest helps prevent injury, allows muscles to heal & grow back stronger, and helps to restore energy. Active rest days allow for recovery while still moving the body in gentle, restorative ways. My favourite ways to spend an active rest day are stretching, doing yoga, foam rolling, walking, swimming or playing golf. Full rest days are sometimes necessary too and this is when I will take time to read, have a hot bath, get a massage or meditate. So give your body and mind the care they need and don’t skip out on those rest days! 🙏🏻
